Above : Neatly framed panels show Goethe in her various guises - she underwent several transformations having originally been a passenger and cargo carrying vessel and in 1925 her passenger accommodation was considerably extended. Her post-war reconstruction was virtually a complete rebuild due to her being amost totally wrecked and she was revised substantially for her return to service in 1996 after what seemed a permanent withdrawal in 1989.
