Belfast Steamship Co  (1824-1924)
Originally the Liverpool & Belfast Steamship Company, the company operated between the said two ports from 1824 and from 1830 were in direct competition with the City of Dublin Steamship Company. Assumed the Belfast only name in 1859 and took over the Cork Steamship Company and Londonderry Steamboat Company in later years. In 1919 it became part of Coast Lines and, as part of Coast Lines, was in the same organisation as the Dublin Company
