Operated for the Adler Line at Hamburg, Germany until 1877 when that company was taken over and the paddle steamer laid up 
Purchased by the General Steam Navigation Company in 1879 and operated between London and the north Kent resorts.
In 1887 she was moved to the Great Yarmouth service, bringing saloon-steamer comfort to this route for the first time
Scrapped in 1898.
