Built
in 2007 for
the Orleans city region authorities at a cost of Euros 800k , this aluminium-hulled
vessel is a reasonable visual replica of the original vessel of this
name built in 1837. A large fleet sailed up and down the Loire, all named
"Inexplosible" to reassure passengers that the hazard of boiler
explosions, common on the earliest of steamboats, was less of a risk in
these vessels.
Ownership
was transferred in late 2015 from the city region authorities,
the Communaute de le Agglomeration Orleans - Val de Loire (Agglo)
to the city of Orleans itself for a nominal sum of 1 Euro
