The ship was finally scrapped in 1990. One paddle wheel is preserved at the Seemuseum at Kreuzlingen on Lake Constance
Major Davel is seen below at Thonon-les-Bains in June 1984, in deteriorating
condition following the failure of proposals for her continued static
