Medway Queen, which was moved to lie at a right-angle ahead of Ryde

: In July 1971, Ryde was still in the Medina and the lagoon wall had
not been breached to allow her to take Medway Queen's position.
Kingswear Castle had been towed away to the River Medway in mid June of
that year.
