This
direct route from the southern areas of Amsterdam had been reduced to a
limited one-line service following the opening of the city's
North/South Metro line which runs below the same alignment
Route
24 was curtailed to now turn into Weteringschans and terminate at the
loop at nearby Frederiksplein, giving options to change to metro or
tram to continue to the city centre.
