A short stretch of traditional street tramway along Friedhofstrasse on the southern side of Prague Cemetery between Heilbronner Strasse (and the junction with the main northbound Stadtbahn corridor - see photo 215011-1) and Nordbahnhofstrasse was closed in December 2017 and replaced by a more direct route to Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof, partially in tunnel, with the intermediate station at Budapester Strasse. The station serves an area currently under redevelopment and lies at the east side of the modern Milaneo shopping mall, part of the so-called Europaviertel (European Quarter) development.
